Configuration basics

The engine runs both locally and inside hosted environments. The base configuration describes the values that must be set in both cases.

Covered: paths for skills and contexts, knowledge entry storage, default language, and default plugins. Every option shows its default value and its effect.

Starting with defaults and adjusting only individual values is recommended. That keeps migrations simple and makes problems easy to trace.
